8th Wedding Anniversary

February 12, 2011 I said I do. That was 8 years ago. It’s been a long and hard road but worth it. Marriage isn’t easy. It takes constant communication, patience, hard work, dedication, love, discipline, god, two committed people that won’t give up on each other (in which sometimes as humans we lack). The right one will speak into your life. The right one will tell you when you’re wrong and stand by you at the same time. The right one is accountable. The right one will stay through better and worse (no. i’m not saying stay and get mistreated. If that’s the case you should definitely focus on self happiness.) The day you sign your marriage license, you’re signing up for something that will take a lifetime to master. Love/marriage isn’t looking perfect all the time or everything is always good. Love isn’t just a feeling; It’s a decision. Reality is, you’ve chosen your spouse and chosen to be committed to him/her knowing that you’re not going to always agree. You’re always going to go through trials and tribulations. I’ve realized that over the years. Well … even the last few months. I’m still learning.

For my wedding, I wore an off white (😏), sweet heart neckline, dress by Casa Blanca Bridal. It was sporadically beaded from top to bottom. I purchased my dress from Town and Country on St. Charles in New Orleans, La. I got married at Champaign Palace In Metairie, La.
