Summer Date Night Outfit Ideas

Since moving to Texas away from my family, we ( my husband and I) haven’t even been able to have date nights as much because of babysitters … the lack of. In Louisiana, we used to have our moms to watch the kids whenever we needed; while we stuffed our faces with medium well filet mignon and lump crab topped asparagus. Dressed to impress and toasting to life! Our favorite places to go were Stabs (view previous blogs) and Ichiban (where the best lychee martinis are). Yes we can go while they are at school but there’s nothing like a date NIGHT with bae. Soooooo I decided to have date night in the house.

All couples need that quality time. All couples need fun. So what else was I supposed to do? I went to the store and picked up some things to cook; lamb chops, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, spinach and wine. Got all dressed up and enjoyed my evening with my man.

Maybe you’re luckier than I am and able to go out for your date night. Even if you don’t have a sitter and want to have date night, you can still dress the part. Either way, here are some outfit ideas for “Summer Date Night”.

Black skirt with a sleeveless graphic tee (tied and cropped) and vibrant open toe pink heels. This screams Summer date night.

Blue romper (check the details) with a black blazer and sparkly accessories. Cool and sophisticated ….

I got this oversized shirt from Frock Candy and couldn’t figure out how to wear it. I put biker shirts on underneath to give it a dress look rather than a shirt look. Right to date night I go.
P.S. Even though this shirt is silver-ish, look how good the gold bounces off this shirt! I only wear diamonds and gold jewelry so it had to work.

Even I would have never thought to put these pieces together. Green cargo pants, white blouse, off white tote, and the pop of color for the win …. the heels. This one might be my fave 😍

Now back to dinner … I followed Kirk and Resheeda’s lamb chop recipe and it came out really good. I mashed my potatoes and roasted my husband’s potatoes. Take a look …
